What to Expect at Your First Yoga Class

Coming to your first class? Here’s everything you need to know to feel comfortable and prepared.

What to Bring:

A yoga mat (if you have one – a few spares may be available)

Water bottle to stay hydrated

Comfy clothing you can move in – think leggings, joggers, or anything stretchy

A blanket or jumper for the relaxation part of class (optional but lovely)

An open mind and willingness to slow down

If it’s your first time, please arrive a few minutes early to settle in and fill out a short health form (PAR-Q).

What to Expect:

A gentle, welcoming environment – no pressure, no judgment

Clear guidance through each posture, with options for all levels

Time to focus on your breath, body, and mind

A blend of movement and stillness – you’ll leave feeling both grounded and refreshed

A chance to unwind in relaxation or meditation at the end of class

You don’t need to be flexible or experienced—just come as you are. Whether it’s your first class ever or your first in a while, you’ll be supported every step of the way.
